With a background in finance, construction and commercial real estate, Richard Dalton brings an investor's point of view to the First and Main RE team. He began his career at Charles Schwab & Company, where he traded equities and options for high net worth active trader clients. With a keen understanding of quantitative models, he quickly progressed, being chosen as a Schwab Equity Insight Pilot team member. In that role, he sold portfolio solutions, performing allocation modeling, estate planning, and tax strategy. After 15 years at Schwab, he joined Home Depot and then Foothills Construction as a Commercial Estimator, providing complex large-scale bids for construction materials to global leaders in commercial building. In 2010, he struck out on his own, founding Aspen Leaf Companions and Aspen Leaf Staffing. Missing the finance and building worlds, he founded 5280 Real Estate in 2013 where he oversaw the investment in and remodeling of residential real estate in Denver and Douglas Counties. He obtained his real estate license in 2014. Richard earned Construction Management Professional Certification from Colorado State University and majored in Finance and Economics at Mesa State University, where he also played football. He continues his love for the game by volunteer coaching the state high school runner-up champion Pomona Panthers.
